CameKart is India\\\\\\\'s photography marketplace where photographers, videographers and equipment providers can create their profiles and clients can find them. Here you can rent your cameras, lenses, drones or hire a photographer for a shoot.
Yes, creating an account on CameKart is completely free. You also get 100 welcome points on signup. Creating a profile, listing equipment, searching \u2014 everything is free.
No, CameKart is for all of India. Currently 50+ cities are covered on the platform. You can find photographers from any state or city or add your own profile.
Yes, CameKart's website also works on mobile. Open camekart.com in the browser and you can use it. A dedicated Android app is also coming soon.
Go to Dashboard \u2192 Public Messages section and write your problem. Or go to the Contact page on camekart.com. Admin will respond as soon as possible.
Interest & Leads
Open the photographer's profile \u2192 Click "Express Interest" button \u2192 Send your name, email, phone, location and message. The photographer will get an email notification and can accept or reject your request.
After sending interest: Status will show "Pending" in Dashboard \u2192 My Sent Interests. The photographer will accept or reject within 3 days. If accepted, "Accepted" status will come and you can reveal the contact. If no response within 3 days, it gets auto-rejected.
When the photographer accepts your interest: Status will become "Accepted" in Dashboard \u2192 My Sent Interests. A "Show Contact" button will appear \u2014 after deducting 10 pts the phone number/email will be shown. You can directly contact and confirm the booking.
Go to Dashboard \u2192 Interested Leads. See the request details \u2014 sender's name, location, equipment interest, preferred date and message. Click "Accept" then both contacts will be shared. If not accepted within 3 days, the request gets auto-rejected.
Go to Dashboard \u2192 Interested Leads. Click the "Not Interested" button below the request you want to reject. The sender will receive a reject notification.
The Contact Views section has 2 things: 1. Viewers of Your Profile Contacts \u2014 people who revealed your contact (pressed Show Contact). 2. Contacts I've Viewed \u2014 contacts you have revealed. You can view both sides' contacts again by paying 10 pts.
Items / Equipment
Go to Dashboard \u2192 Edit Profile. Scroll down \u2014 you will find tabs like Video Camera, Photo Camera, Gimbal, Drone. Select the tab you want and click the "Add Item" button. Fill in the Brand, Model, Price (if for rent) and click Save Profile.
After adding an item: Your profile will appear on the "Find Photographers & Equipment" page with that item. If someone searches for Sony A7MII and you have that item, you will appear in the results. People can send Interest Requests on your profile. If the item is marked for rent, a "For Rent" badge will appear on the profile card.
While adding an item, write the price in the "Rent Price" field (e.g. Rs 500/day). If the rent price is filled, the item will automatically come in the "For Rent" category and a "For Rent" badge will appear on the profile card.
Go to Dashboard \u2192 Edit Profile \u2192 Go to the equipment tab where the item is (e.g. Video Camera). You will see Edit or Delete button next to the item. Confirm when deleting. For editing, change the details and click Save Profile.
There is no limit to adding items on CameKart. You can add as many cameras, lenses, gimbals, drones as you want. Different items are added in each tab.
Go to Dashboard \u2192 Availability Explorer. Mark the dates you are available on the calendar. Other users can find you with the "Available Date" filter. Mark the days you are busy as unavailable.
Work Type tells what kind of work you are available for \u2014 like Wedding, Pre-Wedding, Corporate, Product Photography, Birthday etc. Go to Edit Profile \u2192 Work Types section and select types according to your work. This helps people find you when searching for a specific type.
Points & Wallet
Points are an internal currency on CameKart. You get 100 free welcome points on signup. With points you can directly see the contact number or email of any photographer. Need more points? Contact admin from Dashboard \u2192 Points & Recharge.
It costs 10 points to reveal the contact of any photographer. With 100 welcome points you can view 10 different contacts.
Go to Dashboard \u2192 Points & Recharge section. There you will find an option to contact admin for recharge. After points are added, they will automatically be credited to your wallet.
The current balance is visible in the "Wallet Points" box at the top of the Dashboard. It automatically updates after every transaction.
Points are deducted only when you reveal a photographer's contact (phone number / email) \u2014 when you press the "Show Contact" or "Know Contact Instant" button. No points are charged for viewing profiles, searching, or sending interest.
Profile
Go to camekart.com and click the \"Get Started\" button. Fill in your Full Name, Email, Mobile Number and Password. After creating your account, you will receive 100 free welcome points. Go to Edit Profile in your Dashboard and add your location, profile type and equipment.
The required fields are: Full Name, Location (State, District, Tehsil), Profile Type (Photographer / Videographer / Equipment Provider), Profile Photo, and at least 1 equipment or item. The more complete your profile, the higher you will appear in search results.
Go to Dashboard \u2192 Edit Profile. Click on the profile photo circle at the top, select a new photo and click Save. Note: Do not write your phone number, email or any contact details in the photo \u2014 your profile may get blocked.
Go to Dashboard \u2192 Edit Profile. Below the profile photo, the cover photo area will be visible. Click on it, upload your cover photo and click Save.
Profile type tells who you are: Photographer (photo shoots), Videographer (video shoots), Cinematographer (professional films), Drone Pilot (aerial shots), Equipment Provider (rent cameras/lenses/gimbals), Album Designer (photo album design). You can select more than one type if you do multiple types of work.
Click on the "Forgot Password?" link on the login page. Enter your registered email. You will receive a password reset link on your email. Set a new password using that link.
Search
Click on "Search Photographers" in the header menu. Write your city in the Location / City field like Indore or Bhopal. Click the Search button \u2014 all photographers in that area will appear. You can filter further by Work Type and Equipment Type using Advanced Filters.
On the search page, write the camera name in the "Item / Equipment Name" field \u2014 like "Sony A7M3" or just "Sony" or "DJI Drone". CameKart will search all profiles for that item and show matching results. You can also add location \u2014 like Item: Gimbal, Location: Dewas.
On the search page, select your shoot date in the "Available Date" field. Only those photographers will appear who are available on that date and have set their availability. Or use the Availability Explorer tab \u2014 you can see who is available in calendar view.
You will appear in search when: You have set Location (State/District/Tehsil), You have set Profile Type (Photographer/Videographer), You have added Equipment/Items, Profile is published (auto after signup). The more complete your profile, the higher priority you get in results.
If you are not showing in search, check: Location is properly set (State + District + Tehsil), Profile type is set, At least one item is added, Profile photo is added. Fill everything and Save, then search again.
Open "Advanced Filters" on the search page. Turn ON the "For Rent Only" toggle. Now only profiles that provide equipment on rent will appear. Combine with location and item name for more accurate results.
